What we collect

The public pages collect nothing beyond standard server logs. The Research Assistant requires a sign-in (your email address) and stores the questions you ask, the answers given, and any ratings you leave — solely to operate the service and improve answer quality.

Retention & sharing

Question and answer records are kept for up to 90 days for quality review, then deleted; ratings are kept until reviewed. Data is never sold and never shared with third parties beyond the cloud infrastructure that runs this site (Google Cloud, region-hosted). For any personal-data request under Hong Kong’s PDPO, contact the office listed on the Contact page.

The Research Assistant is not legal advice

Answers are AI-generated summaries drawn from Professor Ali’s published works. They may be incomplete or imperfect, do not constitute legal advice, and create no professional engagement. Always verify against the cited source before relying on an answer.

Copyright

Book and article excerpts shown by the Research Assistant remain the property of their respective publishers and are provided in limited form for scholarly reference only. Please cite Professor Ali’s works directly in your own writing.
